    WTB 2-3 Wildedge stepps

The wildedge step is very stable IF THE KNOT IS TIED PROPERLY AND SLACK IS REMOVED LIKE IT SHOULD BE. Now with that said there is a learning curve for them and it shouldn't be learned the day before the season opener and not at twenty feet either. I have tried many different things with mine, 5...

    Looking to start out right

I have the JX3 and in my opinion is the perfect saddle. I have no problem walking through brush with it on. It basically is the pack you need to have I have a small pack that John from JX3 outdoors recommended that goes in between the seat and the back. And I use the space built into the seat...

    Tree hopper bolts

I have used bolts in previous years. And I would predrill my trees in August and September and I had no trouble installing or removing my bolts during that season. I always removed my bolts at the end of the hunt. And if I used a tree the next season that I used the previous season the holes...

Update on my steps and platform

I used the same web mod with the cam buckle and flat hook. I struggled to get the cam buckle and flat hook to stay together while adjusting the webbing tight so I did away with the cam buckle and flat hook and just tie the webbing to the step directly using the wild edge knot. Very easy to tie...

JX3 Hybrid - Questions for Interview with John

Off of the subject. But @Bigterp this is how I modified my HBS to use with my JX3. It isn't connected but it does work. I cut two slits into the back of the HBS to allow me to put on the backpack straps of my JX3. I also cut and added zippers into the legs of the HBS. So I can unzip the zippers...

JX3 Hybrid - Questions for Interview with John

Would definitely like to hear about the transition from Guidos Web to JX3. I talked many different times to Butch who owned Guidos Web. And I know do to an illness in Butch's family he sold the company. I am assuming John bought it and redeveloped the web into the JX3. It is neat that no changes...

Staying warm in cold weather... TIPS?

My suggestion is layering. And carrying as much of your clothing in to the base of the tree. You don't want to sweat getting to your tree. And take the time to cool off at the base of your tree. I pull my extra layers up the tree with a pull rope and put them on as I start to get cold.
