    Ernie platform (xop)

Thanks! Makes a lot of sense to just add a hook to the removable side! Guess I’ll start looking around for rubberized hooks. Good point about the little noses - I first wrap the open sling around the outside frame 2 times so the strain is on the frame and not on the little thingy.

    Ernie platform (xop)

How do you guys cam over / attach the strap on the removable side without the little noses they had on the XOP platform? Still have a second Ernie kit around and wouldn’t mind setting it up (running one with XOP)...

Ropeman 1 Ascender: YES or NO???

Good thread, something I was wanting to start one about too: - I used RM1s for a few years (both LB and tether), but hate the bulk of the 10 mm rope when daisy chained. Also, 10 mm plus rope does not take some knots as much as I like. Not a fan of using a life support device out of spec, so I...

    Tethrd Phantom

Agreed with most of what you said about the saddle. Maybe we’re talking past each other on the comfort channels (I think the whole concept is gimmicky, wasn’t talking about the name), but that‘s a detail and also a matter of personal preference. I am just judging off my personal experience, and...

    Tethrd Phantom

Alright, I guess I am just not getting it... - My 6 yr old Evo already came with what to me looks exactly like the “adjustobridge” (or whatever they call it) - The “comfort channels” look totally gimmicky to me. That leaves what as the great innovation - the larger LB loops? Btw, who is the...

That makes a lot of sense once you see it, thanks very much! Nothing of this was mentioned in the instructions that came with the saddle... I’ll have to play around with how I can route and attach the bridge slack to the back of the saddle after looping it through the LB loops - I have a clip...

Hi, Thanks for getting back, much appreciated! So do I understand you correctly that your Trophylines look different than the one I just bought in that the bridge and the waist belt were the same thing? Here is what mine looks like - the waist belt is on top, and the bridge is on the bottom...

Not to capture the thread completely, but how did you get the Trophyline quiet? I got one for Christmas and took it out today, and the metal buckle that the bridge runs through on the left side is driving me crazy wIth its ringing when I walk in. Thing is, I haven’t got a clue what to do about...

    Pig Hunting in CA

Hi ImThere, Thanks for taking the time and writing this up, much appreciated! I was aware of the Military installations but wasn't sure as a non citizen with only 3 days to spend it would be realistic to jump through the hoops they might require me to jump through to get permission. Maybe it's...

    Pig Hunting in CA

Hi Saddlers, I have a work trip to the west coast coming up and will be stuck there for a weekend. Wild hog hunting is permitted in CA all year, so I'm thinking why not take my bow and see whether I can find one. Problem is, I don't have the first clue about pig hunting (or hunting in CA for...

    Live from the 2017 PigMageddon

Bummer! With bows in the picture I might have tried harder to make it down. But then with the new job it probably wouldn't have happened anyway. Glad you guys had a good time! Hope I can make it next year :) Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    XOP Platform kits?

Yeah, it did slip both times. I also played around with different starting points before camming over when I tried to readjust. One thing that might be a reason (other than me being stupid, which is a very real possibility :) ) is that the tree was very skinny, so maybe not enough of the doubled...

    XOP Platform kits?

That would be great. I only had two sits to use mine before season ended here, and I must have done something wrong with the way I used the rope. Had creep in the rope that over time led to the top of the stick coming loose and the platform moving left to right. Haven't had time to look into it...

    PigMageddon 2017

No problem! Western Union money transfer OK? That way I can send it out with the transfer to Dr Amakai Mugabo tomorrow when I wire him the money to get my share of the 25 million of that unclaimed inheritance from Nigeria :) Looking forward to meeting all you crazy saddlers!

If there is room I would like to come too. Would be great meeting you guys. I'm starting my new job in Chicago on Jan 3rd, so can't commit 100% quite yet, but will do everything I can to make it happen!
