Really appreciate the innovation that Matt and the OAL squad brings!

Looks to be just over 4 lbs and a bit more packable than big bob.

The way it folds over would prevent it from folding any further.

Mine should ship next week- anxious to finish out the last 3 months of deer season with it

Semper Fi,

I’d be interested in what you think when you check it out.
? does the platform cam over?
Does it lock in somehow so it doesn’t pivot it you stand on the inside corner?
? If it does cam over it looks like it may push the lower step away from the tree making it less stable on the tree where the teeth make contact with the tree.
Reason I ask is because I’ve built a similar folding 1 stick and those were a few of the engineering issues I had to work through.
lLet us know what u think.

Did you watch his live? He pulled it off the tree and it folded on its own. When you reach down to dislodge it and pull up it’s going to fold up.

I didn’t. I don’t have Facebook.

But it wouldn’t seem like much of a big deal just to fold it back to where it needs to be. The packability of it is what appeals to me the most. The way I one-stick is a little different than others. I don’t lean over and use the pull up rope. I’ll descend enough to pull the stick and set it. I also use a change of direction to help climb. Hard for me to explain. I need to video of it, but it’s also how I keep slack in my rope minimized.

Cool. Everybody has their own methodology on climbing. In my moves, the platform is folded while climbing so you don’t need a pull-up a cord, just grab the folded flat platform and lift to the next move. That works for me anyway.

Yep. We are very fortunate, ya know …. For such a niche segment of the outdoor/hunting community, we have a lot of ways to do what we do, and a tremendous selection of gear.
