Mississippi State University did research on this and if I remember correctly long and aggressive rattling produced the best results. But this was in TX I think. MSU deer lab did a podcast on it so definitely not a secret. Episode 13, “the science of antler rattling”.

Me too. I always feel like I'm doing more harm than good. This has me wanting to give it another shot though.
I did to untill I tried this I have never seen anything rattling untill I done this

Congrats on the buck Travis!!! I had a couple small bucks fight close to me about a week ago went on for 15 minutes. Wasn't super aggressive but it was loud. I've almost completely quit carrying antlers to. May have to rethink that...
