I had one help me find a buck after it rained 3 inches over night. It was amazing to watch.

Love the woobie sling. Is it making a return trip to South Georgia

Way to go! How's @HardWoodRyder doing this season? Converted to a saddle yet?

Sadly he went the way of the conventional stand... But he got one last night too.

I'm sorry, entry is closed. We had bad luck adding on teams in the past. Get involved, build up your post count (there is a minimum requirement) and you can join next year .

Team 9, I must apologize for this morning. I almost got is on the board. I had a huge 4 point come in with an even bigger 8 point. They walk right under my tree and were too close ad my foot and some branches were in the way at 4 yards... as they go past and get to the 7 to 8 yards mark I am shaking like a leaf in a hurricane and start to draw. That is the moment I messed up and pushed my arrow of the string with my thumb... the arrow nose dived through the branches and killed the dirt below me... they thought it was a branch and trotted out to 2t yards behind a tree limb. They hung around another 5 minutes and slowly left. I will get them next time. Awesome hunt! And a real heart pounding/heart breaking moment.

By the way, I am using this mosquito spray and They are not smelling it. It works great! Thinking about buying a case or a truck load of it!

lookin like quite a slow season for a lot of us. I will be on vacation next week so hopefully with the cold front coming I can put one of my public land bucks on the ground

I haven't been able to get more than two steps on one plane. Maybe it's the smaller trees or maybe it's a weight thing but if my rope runs downhill around the tree it isn't tight enough. I get two to the same height. One on the left one right. Then the one on my side of the tree is about an inch lower. I actually like that better. When I am sitting I usually straddle the tree with my feet each sitting on the two level steps. Then when I am leaning my heels go on each side of the lower step and my toes go on the higher steps. That gives me about the right angle for leaning.

For me it's been above average temps just like the last two years. I hunted a few of my better spots in the rain by the apples and beech but nothing moved except at first and last light. So I'm switching gears to low impact sites until the weather changes or rutting activity increases. Youth weekend with deer drives didn't help the situation either.

I was having a crazy beginning and hunted alot more so than in previous years and got preburned lol. Starting friday im back in the game trying to tag a couple does then hopefully a monster or big buck worthy of a mount to raise my wifes blood pressure lol!! So far I have had tons of action with each sit seeing deer. More choices this year for me I guess and have been passing on alot of deer.
