I just added both of them. Next year I might do if you have X # of posts you don't need your saddle in the photo. I am lenient on rules but he was on my team so I couldn't just do it.

You guys have been busy. Congrats. Team 8 we got to get busy. It's been relaxing the last couple weeks but team two is a doe away from a tie or a spike out of the lead. It is going to be Sunday evening before I get to hit the woods again but I think I'll attempt to put at least 5 more on the board.

However, it seems to me that shooting a deer while climbing a tree with the saddle in your pack still meets the intent of the contest. It was a saddle hunt. Not Huck's fault the deer walked in on him while he was setting up.

I am glad the deer got counted! They should be! I am getting out this weekend and it will be a nice cold front coming in and temperatures are dropping Friday and Saturday! Should be good!
 
About 1230 today i took some estrous scent with me to check my trail cam.. i knew i was hunting this evening and wanted to get a jump. I placed a tampon 20yds from my tree within a good shooting lane .. piured some on my boot bottom and walked. Found another lane 20yds from my tree and hung another estrous coated tampon. Poured more on my boot and made my way to my cam. After checking my cam i was relieved to see "wacky rack" had made it a few more days. I had dried my scentlok which reactivates the carbon in them and placed my gear jn the mud room anxious for my wife to get home. As she pulled in i departed.. unfortunately i made it all the way up my tree before i realized my mainline for my saddle was on my kayak where i emptied my stuff to dry. Called the wife and met her halfway. Back up the tree i went... after watching squirrels and checking in with my aunt and brent i started the ritual age of war game i play so i dont move too much. I heard an unfamiliar crunch ive only been sitting 10 mins surely its nothing. As i glance over my right shoulder i slowly slide my phone into my pocket. My heart starts racing i cant believe its actually him its only 545 in the afternoon i wasnt expecting you til dark. I glance at my bow.. holy sh"# i dont have an arrow nocked!! As i have a stare down with this dandy buck my arm half raised towards my quiver opposite of my bow on the tree i can feel the agony of muscle burn anyone knows if they have held their arma high long enough. Ive starred iver my shoulder so long my eyes feel crossed and im dizzy.. i close my eyes as i try to focus. This deer followed every script i wanted why wasnt i ready. He is 30yds broadside clueless smellin this doe pee. He smells my trail but he crossed the middle and needs to decide which way to go. He paces. Walked up a few feet from the hanging scent and turns towards my foot path. Please dont wind me!. He stops. Takes a few steps finally a leaf covers his eyes i make my move for the arrow. The neighbors feeder kicks off. Hey its 554pm cool. I raise my rip cord rest and slide my hand on my bow. In fluid mition remove it from the hook and stand. Raise the bow over my head and turn 180 backwards.. MEH 20yds broadside dont mess this up.. he stops.. THWACK blood instantly hits the fur and the ground. HOLY CRAP I JUST DID IT. I text as many people as i can i jusg got him!!... and so follows the pics...hope you enjoy this hunt as much as i did! ... SITDRAG SADDLE 9pts plz
