A better bow hanger / holder

Yes, something like this. I was thing if it had the prongs that it would hold the bow at an angle for me to keep it in a better possition. Who makes that?
I just used instamorph plastic to mold something up around a screw in accessory hook, and put a ruler through so I could run the webbing strap. I've been using it for 3 or 4 years now.

I am not familiar with that product. I am sure they have it at the hardware store but have not paid attention to it. Thanks for the idea!

That is neat stuff! I assume you painted yours. Does the paint mess it up if you try to remold it? Just get it right before you paint it!

I believe I used spray on plasti-dip on it to make it black. It has rubbed off the back side. Yea, get it right before you do anything else to it. And FYI once you mold the stuff once, it gets harder to melt down and use every time you try to reuse it. So try to get it done the first time. And for this purpose, it doesn't have to be perfect looking, just functional.

Look up the U-slide mini. I have been using mine for 3 years. I think they are an awesome saddle bowhanger.

Thanks,
Boswell

I took your advice and ordered the mini. It looked awesome and I was excited to use it. When it arrived, the threaded post on the U looked kind of crooked but I didn't think anything of it. I got in the tree, set my bow in it to decipher the best angle, and then tightened the thumb knob about 50% of what I would think it would take for it to hold. Sheared the threaded post easily.

I won't knock it until I reach out and get a response from U-Slide. But I was bummed for the first impression. I'll keep you guys posted.

U-Slide promptly responded to my message/picture and shipped out a new holder no questions asked. Assuming the new holder works a little better, this company gets my vote.
