A More Effective Form Of Deer Calling?

My best tactic of calling deer is to just remain quiet and still
I only carry snd its very rare a grunt call when i know bucks are searching.
might be a mistake not to but its just how ive learned to be.
If i see a seeker i will hit the call softly a few times thats it.
i never blind call or blow into the call super loud.
bucks are not dumb and they learn quickly like turkeys do to become call shy.
I think calling can be effective when the sex ratio is more balanced because it bring competition for girls with bucks.
again just my opinion

Robert, did you watch the video?

Not once, but twice this year I had does come in to eat under the wild cherry trees I was set up amidst. After a half hour beyond legal shooting time I got impatient and started talking to the does trying to convince them to leave without directly giving up my spot. In a calm voice I kept saying "Alright ladies, its time to go home let me out of the tree." Both times, instead of leaving the does walked directly up to the tree I was in looking to see what was making that noise. . . . You may be on to something here @ricky racer.

I truly believe I called in a few curious deer when I used to use a Summit climber. That crunching of bark made them curious. It was an unhealthy curiosity, lol.

Sometimes after dark I coyote howl to run them off and sometimes I owl hoot really loud.

Deer can be conditioned to respond to nearly anything. In Texas, where they use a lot of feeders on ranches, they also use an electronic caller that sounds like a mechanical feeder, when it turns on and spreads feed pellets.
Similarly, if you walk into an area and make a particular sound/noise, as you put out food for deer, they will get accustomed to you being there and see you as a food source. Befriending deer like this isn't good for the deer and can be dangerous for people.
