Aero Hunter Adjustment

I got my spliced eye for my adjustable bridge today. I'm going to like this.

That's a very clean streamlined look. I like it. Great idea.

Yeah that looks like a nice piece of equipment.

I wish I could remove the paws just so I didn't have to run them through the washer!

Have you had a chance to field test with the rings? I'm wondering if it affects how load is distributed on the evo and if there is any resulting discomfort.

This was a huge find Ernie!
I've been working on a custom saddle where I was using a couple rings on each side in this exact manner. They are gold rings and look exactly the same except without the pins. I just ordered 2 of the petzl's to try out.

I haven't gotten a chance to try these out on the aero yet as I bought it after season was over, but on my home made saddle, I used them all season with no issue.

Erniepower, Did you have to cut the end off the leg straps to get them undone? For the life of me I can not get the leg strap back through the buckle to get it out of the paw.

I expect you will have to cut the stitching on the webbing overlap and then it will pull through.

My Inpatients got the best of me and I cut the end off, right at the stitching. The leg straps were way long anyway so it's not a big deal.

We have tested something similar to those petzel rings on a prototype, the ones we tested were more of a shackle shape and a little to pricey.

Thanks,
Boswell

I tried and tried but couldn't get it through. So yeah I cut the stitch. I figured I could always sew it back up. My machine will easily handle that task, so I wasn't worried

Same here . I cut mine also, but have the mach. to re-sew them. Great idea , Ernie. Thanks .

I got an extra one, also, for the linesman belt, to reduce the knot bulk on that side attachment.

This is one of the best mods I've seen in a long time. As soon as I saw Erniepowers picture I knew I had to try it just for the unlimited bridge adjustment alone. And an added bonus is you can throw your bridge over your shoulders and cinch the ropeman tight for a set of suspenders.

Just tied my first eye today!!!!!!! How tuff that first 1 was . I think now that ive done 1, it might be easier on the next. Like the ring on the linesman belt , also.

Did you use the speedystitch to do the lock stitch? I haven't lock stitched anything. Maybe I should

Quadro, in your last picture you show a ring through a gear loop. Are you using that for your linemans rope hook up?
