Alabama saddlers

Let's talk more about this river hunting. Flat bottom land I'm assuming?
Both!!! The areas along the Flint are more of the standard wetlands type areas with no chance of development. The Chattahoochee stuff is a bit of everything because some of my spots are literally in the city limits of Atlanta. Therefore I am hunting white and red oak acorn ridges where they bottom out along the river and ultimately become cane break and privet tunnels for miles along the river banks. Ultimate funnel scenarios.

UPS has been the key to just about all of it. I see a whole lot of people and when I see them I always have something they want.

Hey swamp I use to hunt in Warrior, I moved to Chattanooga about 15 years ago, I grew up in the Pinson area

Small world. I lived most of my life in Louisiana. Grew up hunting and fishing the Atchafalaya basin. These hills are new to me. It's prettier, cleaner woods but hell on short legs! Lol That's why I'm excited about hucks river bottoms.

Hmmm.

I didn't think there was much public land through those bow only areas in Atlanta. Are you hunting private tracts there? All permission through your UPS peeps?

Yes! It's all been deliver a package , establish relationships. There are tons of industrial warehouses along the river. Many of which own large parcels that extend to the river. And then there are some really big residential lots the do the same. None of it is public. Ok enough said.
