Are some rubber boots better with ground scent?

I definitely have a scent control regimen (although not as strict as some; ozone generator, frequent washes with Sport Wash), and I try to keep my boots clean, spray down, and use Nose Jammer. I just don't go out of my way to scuff into stuff lol, not saying that it can hurt, and maybe it helps, it just doesn't do anything for my confidence.
I don’t go out of my way either just if it’s in front of me on my way in I’ll step on every pile of deer scat or cow plop on my way. In farm country if I could keep my gear in the cow barn and then be able to don it before heading out to hunt, I think it would be ideal.

I've had mixed results with the Nose Jammer. Some deer would get downwind or cross my trail and show no reaction at all. Others would get nervous and wander off. I did have a few flip out and hit the afterburners to get out of town, even after I'd had other deer not react to it.

I do still use a tiny bit on the tips of my boots from time to time. (but I use it less often every year) Just the shortest possible burst I can get and still get some on there. I've never had a negative reaction to that. But one buck I killed I think I wouldn't have gotten without it. I'd missed him with my first shot, and he circled downwind of me. When he hit the Nose Jammer, he stopped and looked long enough for me to get another shot. That was when I was using a lot of it.

Nose Jammer is kinda weird that way... I think that if you manage to blow a deer out using it, they do remember that. The other analogy is that I prefer ("need") to sit where I can see the room, not with my back to the room; if a deer walks into something and suddenly they lose their sense of smell, it probably freaks some of them out lol.

But also to point, I use sparingly as well, but I do still use it.

I tried to use Evercalm, but that stuff is rank. It really does smell like a wet deer laid down and stunk an area of leaves up or something.
It does smell like a wet deer. It smells exactly like a heavily used bedding area when its just-opened/fresh. After a while the stick smells rank like any of the scent products. I used to use it and it would make it through about half the season before i could smell a difference myself. I would put it back in the little baggy to make it last longer (not sure if that helped.) i havent tried it in a couple years but i definitely liked those deodorant sticks more than spray or drops for applying to my boots. It never lasted long enough to go through a whole stick before it went rank though.

Yeah, it's one of those things where it might help, but I don't want to deal with the hassle. Forget to change your boots out or can't one time, and you have to detail your car and scrub your home flooring for a few hours. I'll just be less successful. I had a bottle of "Antler Ice" buck pee leak in my freezer, and it smelled for a year (even after scrubbing the inside of my freezer with soap and baking soda multiple times and leaving baking soda in freezer).
