I ordered a Back Support Band off of Amazon and the first time I used it, it sorta collapsed. It's built sturdy, but it needed some rigidity to it.

So, I cut a piece of a foam seat at the same length and width of the band and put a thermal sock over the whole thing. That sorta worked, but the mesh kept collapsing. I decided to use some sinew and run a wide stitch around the edges to hold the mesh in place, along with the foam seat....all of which was inside the thermal sock. It turned out pretty good. Nice rigid support with thermal properties and it's still very light weight.

I have that same one and had the same issues! It kept rolling up behind me and pinching. I never could come up with a way to make it more comfortable and ended up just trashing it and buying one from CGM. Would have returned it but I had cut my strap in half and sewn loops at the ends of the strap to attach it to my bridge with paracord prusiks and small s biners.
