Bedding area mistake

So the guy using the climber is walking right in along that path right by the bedding point correct? A great follow up to this would be like an aerial view of the area, mark the access path the hunter used, the bedding point and the spot where he had his climber and then show where you would access the property to hunt that stand or even if you would hunt that stand. Almost looks too close anyway and I wouldn't think a bigger buck would use that open pathway during the daylight hours on pressured public anyway.

I agree 100%.
Yes the guy in the climber is walking right by the small corner bedding area. Therefore when he does he may be alerting any deer thats bedding there to his presence and educating a buck that he is being hunted.
I have another video coming out next week with the exact points you are asking.
Its kind of the long version.
This is just the setup video for the complete one coming out.
If i knew there was a specific buck i was after in the area, I would never hunt that specific spot.
Like you said its way to open for daylight movement outside of the rut.
Also the winds get so swirly and kinda sucked right down those open lanes.
Now If i was to hunt that spot i would be probably just deer hunting and would pop a doe or something, but even then it would totaly depend on where the wind is coming out of and how its reacting in that specific area.
I would enter a way where the wind is somewhat in my face and staying kind of out of view if that corner area where i think a target buck may be bedded in.
Even if it took me two hours to get to my tree. Zig zagging or whatever way i had to.
i would be throwing milkweed probably every 75 yards or so then again at the base of the tree.
is that over kill? Probably but its what has to be done to get more sightings or success at least where i hunt.
thanks for the tips snd suggestions.
appreciate the support and hope it helps someone.

Do you think a buck would still bed on that point with all the pressure there? Good stuff man. Enjoying your videos.

Im positive one would bed there if the conditions and advantage for saftey for him is there.
The reason why i say that is when i was scouting there and i walked out the way the hunter was walking in I kicked a single deer up just inside a micro point just off the corner.
was it a buck? Im not sure but, it was bedded just inside the corner off of the small micro point about 20 yards in.
So im pretty sure it was a buck.
The deer must have herd walking from his right then seen me and bolted.
So in my opinion that deer was bedded there with wind over back and hiding just inside the thick pines with briars where he could watch or hear anything from the road to the left of him and hear and see anything in front of him or to his right and thats how he heard snd spotted me.
Hope that makes sense. Thnks again.
I love sharing my experiences success and failures

I have hundreds of acres of awesome private land to hunt but there are a few other guys that hunt some of it too.
It's really impressive how the deer change their routine when they figure out people are in there.
It might only mean they switch to trails 75 yards back in or it could also turn them totally nocturnal...

Doesnt take much to let the deer know they are being hunted
I myself don't believe in a 100% nocturnal deer unless its extreme pressure like weeks of deer drives but, that will ususlly drive them from the areas.
I think they avoid areas they know hunters frequent and a big mature buck may get up and only go 50 yards before dark.
i find presets every yesr when i scout and then i look for what i call “skirt trail” that skirt around a preset.
There fore that makes the hunter think the deer are nocturnal
Thats why i believe being mobile is super effective.

"Skirt trail" I like it!

I have a spot in my mind right now with that eggzacktly...
Skirt trail will probably go around the preset a distance far enough away where the deer can not see the hunter but they can scent check the wind to see if he is there. Also if the area is big enough there could well be two skirt trails going around the preset on both sides depending on wind direction.
almost like how deer eventually approach a known bait pile. Almost j hooking into the bait pile. It lets them scent check an area while passing through or visiting.
hope that makes sense.
Years ago i used to do alot of trail camera studies doing this.
I did this placing trail cameras a hundred or even several hundred yards skirting a bait pile.
the outcome of data i got was crazy cool and shows how smart they are. Deer are sneaky slick man lol

Whatever happened to the “doing the exit stage left” proclamation and “I am just done with the whole forums and groups. The whole social media/forums/groups were really never me anyway but I've seemed to get caught up in it and it has just become really toxic” - ???

I was actually asked by several people and friends to kind of stay or stick around.
Told it will get better snd just try not yo pick a side, which has been the kind of trend.
I only really belonged to two forums, this one and the hunting beast.
the hunting beast i left and never went back to.
I actually told the mods to delete my acct.
I’ve actually had decent time on this forum because I pay zero attention to the trolls and lack luster thought out responses from people who try to trigger people with stupid responses or questions
I just scroll on if im not a fan of someone or dont like the post as should others do also.

My bills are paid snd i kill deer or have multiple opportunities every year.
i like to share info i learn from being able to hunt probably more than most.

Is that a sufficient answer or make sense enough for ya?
