Benefits of a 1 piece saddle system

No i have a linemans with 1 carabiner and a girth hitch.. i just hook to my bridge like a second tether.akso been doubled as my bow hanger.can use it to hang stuff when hunting on the ground next to a tree.or to hold an animals leg up while you procces it.red uses an amsteel daisy chain for that ...even lighter and smaller.i just happened to have the linemans that i keep in my fanny pack even when i dont bring tree gear.

Sounds like you've got the minimalist thing figured out. Really looking forward to using the 2TC method this year, along with a ring of steps. The places where I hunt are all ridges, bottoms, and the good spots are almost always a mile or more from where you can park. I know that's nothing compared to the wilds of Oregon, but I like the idea of getting out where no one else does and lightening my load more so that I can.

The more ultra light ,compact and duel purposed gear becomes
..the more cool creature comfort gadgets you can carry as a gear junky.i leared alot from ultralight backpackers.they have 1 lb.folding chairs, titanium spoons and hamok hooks, carbon fiber trecking poles and full kitchens that weigh less than my binos.there are hippie girls who go out in the woods for 3 months with a 7 lb.base weight..its just a shame that the hunting industry is so far behind .being that we also need to carry our projectiles, glassing and, proccessing gear..oh not to mention climbing gear.so we should be one step ahead of the backpackers not 2 steps behind.they should be copying the hunters

Haha, love it. Looking forward to getting farther out into these mountains by me to get onto more deer and hogs. Now all I need is an Alpaca to haul the meat out with!

First is the safety of a simpler sysyem.i cant clip into the wrong spot, use the wrong rope, forget my tether, lose my tether in the woods or drop it from a tree.i cant hit my bow , release,or binos on the carabiner either.the bridge and tether act as 1 and dont come apart.View attachment 102131View attachment 102134
Looks like a simple stupid system...pretty slick though!
