I picked up some of this several years age and can't remember where. I think it was REI but I'm not sure. I've looked around and all I have seen are long lengths. I'm thinking about replacing my tether once this season is over and I will probably buy enough to make several while I am at it. I primarily climb 2TC and I like how the stiffness of this rope works in that application. Does anyone know of a source for this rope by the foot, or is that a unicorn, lol. Thanks.

You might have to call to verify, this looks like the assault line but could be the protac:

Alternatively REI has a 20% off sale on the 150' length today for members.

A couple questions, how long are you wanting the pieces for your 2TC? How many feet total would are you trying to get? Are you dead set on 11.4 assault line or would you be ok with a thinner rope from Bluewater as long as it has similar stiffness?

Well, I have to figure that out. I'm guessing the loop and knot take up 3 feet, then I want to have enough to tackle some of these large diameter trees. I just got in from hunting so I will check that out tomorrow (in the truck) and get back to you. I want something comparable in diameter and stiffness. I use a Ropeman 1 on it.

Here is a pic from tonight's climb. These big trees eat up a lot of rope. Also, that line is several years old, and it might just be good to get something fresh.
