Climbing line retrieval

Blast from the past here but I am currently using a screw link for my system. What caribiner is this or what caribiner would have the proper strength to use this way? I have had to climb up once to get my rope this season. I was just using Paracord which had too much stretch and lack of strength. I replaced it with 4mm line and went much better last time. Little stretch and more strength. But I might like to try a pulley system. Is there any concern with side loading if used this way or not because the pull is still along the long axis?

You could use a dmm pinto pulley for the entire climb without having to switch over at all. Ive done it alot with canopy anchors, the pulley is rated to 11k lbs mbs.

Man, that cambium saver looks awesome. Too much investment for a per tree basis though.
