Climbing spikes/ lineman's belt

Got em back out yesterday after work and shortened the lineman's belt like you guys said and that helped a ton didn't work up a sweat like i did the day before lol. As of right now I love these things, just gotta build me a platform so i can practice getting on and off with spikes.

And i used my hands on the tree more while climbing instead of holding on to the lineman's belt I felt more stable doing it that way.

Awesome. Glad to see it working for you. The spike/platform combination is a total game changer for me.

I usually climb that size or a little smaller. The more you lean back, the harder it is to climb. But you also feel more secure. You'll have to find a good balance of comfort and climbability. Watch some videos of professional tree climbers on youtube and then copy their techniques. That's what I did.

Also, the Ropeman on your lineman belt will make a HUGE difference.
