Climbing spikes

Cool ! I'm trying to set up my rappel rope . Thanks for the pictures, and information from the real Batman ! Lol

We've been talking a little bit about that setup. I think he best way to do that part really is to use a screw link attached to the rope with a triple fisherman's knot.

Hey fling, do you have a picture of your climbers? The straps that came with the climbing rites , we're just to much. Here are my straps. Look ok?

Looks good. Just recently changed mine to the 2" , adjustable strap. Happier with them now.

I bet flinginga buckle is rated for more weight while the other buckle is more likely to slip I would use that type then you will have no worries. Or A composite cobra buckle is about 20$ but maybe overkill

Mine isn't a cobra buckle. Just a regular ITW snap buckle. Not sure what they are rated but I made a loop with the buckle and stood inside of it with all my weight and it never budged. For the purpose of holding the gaff on my leg it works just fine.

Hey bud , you have any good ideas for protecting the gaffs? Mine came with the leather covers, but they were already shot thru them. I tried some super big wire connectors , but they wont stay on . I know essdub says he wears his in, but looks like that wouldnt be good on them, without protection.

There's a plastic stuff some guys used on here to make some but the name of it has slipped my memory. @g2outdoors what was that stuff called?
