Climbing spikes

No they are super sharp.

I ended up ordering from Wespur, they were $258 which was about $11 cheaper than I could find anywhere else. Also, Wespur is doing free shipping on any order over $100, so that was nice. Now I just have to be patient enough to wait until they arrive and I have a day off to try them out.

And not 2 hours later, I just got a shipping notification... nice.

I haven't been on this thread for a while. I didn't go back and read it all, but are those aluminum?

I got some from Bartlett that are not aluminum. I got them in January and I just opened the box to try them out. Just putting them together. I hope I'm not disappointed. Klein is the brand name.

Yes, the ones I ordered are aluminum, with the upgraded ultralight aluminum pads.

They seem to be fine but I have nothing to compare them too. I haven't climbed in them yet and I'm not sure I want to go this route. I may sell them if you are interested.

Where do you all buy the webbing you use to make modifications?

Alright, I got the spikes in.... I wish I could actually get in the woods to try them out, but it will be more than a week until I can.

First order of business will be replacing the Velcro for webbing. Second order of business is trying to figure out how to silence the loop that attaches the lower strap and buckle to the eye bolt on the j at the bottom...

Anyone have any ideas on how to silence that, since it will remain in use even after I replace the leather and metal buckle and leather...

Also, I think it packs up quite well with my pack. I have to figure out some straps to hold it onto the pack.
