Almost time for annual scouting trip to unit we hunt in Colorado. Got 2 more valleys and saddles to check out and along with 2 more water sources to setup for saddle hunting. I'm also gonna be helping my buddy with some remodeling in his house and lodge. So may be away from Texas heat for 2-4 weeks, be like heaven. Been working out on a max type trainer and rehabbing my left hand and wrist from surgery in March. Elk have been very active this spring so far, may set a few cameras too.
 
Are you on public land?... how long have you been hunting out there, I'm trying to plan my first diy public land elk hunt for next September.

I'm hoping to get my wife on a elk or bear this Sept, gonna see in June if she can hike where we go. She loves to bowhunt and has her own treesaddle!
