Cordura…can you quiet it down??

Ordered a small TX5 dump pouch that’s cordura to go with my Rayder. Quality is through the roof, but man it’s loud against the saddle. Wondering if any has run one through a washing machine a couple times to quiet one up, or if I should just try to return it for something else?

I’ve roughed up the exterior with lite sandpaper on a couple pouches before. Did the trick for me

I got 2 cordura surplus pouches that contact and rub together making noises that bothers me....I applied stealth strip to the outside of the fabric and quieted it right down

I know my saddle got quieter as it broke in, I’d assume the same for them?

Not without weakening them… this is why I like mesh bags. Especially when using a cordura saddle. The ripstop bags do the same thing they just aren’t as loud. Mesh is by far the quietest material for a gear bag

I actually ordered a saddle cloth bag from @DanO and that thing is completely silent. I went ahead and just ordered a second one I liked It so much.

I’m past the 15 day return/exchange limit with TX5, so I don’t know if they’ll let me do anything with it anywho.

Yea the cowboy Swede is silent too… they are very nice

I taped a cheap cordura Amazon bag and the tape peeled off the back after two rain storms.. did you wrap it all the way around so the tape is back on itself? I thought you were using the cowboy bags from EWO???

Cowboy suede pouches are the bomb
This pouch on my vest has another "pouch" rub together making noise.. (technically it's my platform that rubs on there but my platform made of cordura or cordura like material) ....put this stealth strip on there couple seasons ago....hasn't started peeling up yet and I get rained on fairly regular
