Cruzr XC - Help Needed

I'm currently using a Cruzr XC (size 2) on a limited basis. The reason why I haven't used it much more is that it's just not comfortable for me, despite all the claims that it's one of the most comfortable saddles out there. I've spoken with Cruzr about it and they believe that my discomfort is attributed to the way I set it up. I partly believe it could be due to the fact that I'm on the low end of the waist scale; I wear 33-34" waist jeans.

So I'm asking for a couple of things... 1) are there any fellow Cruzr users in NJ that I could meet up with that can review my setup? 2) is there any fellow Cruzr users who have a size 1 that I could do a quick trial to see if my issue is size related?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Usually having larger saddle adds to comfort.

What kind of discomfort are you experiencing? What have you tried to do to solve it? Are you sitting or leaning?

It feels like the saddle is squeezing the heck out of me. Most of the time I'm leaning, but I will sit for a bit to take some weight off my feet. My last hunt was maybe 3 hrs and it was the longest 3 hrs ever. As for trying to fix it, I used to have my tether above my head, but based on Cruzr's suggestion, I've lowered it to about upper lip level; this didn't help.

Where are you at? I’m in Sussex county. I’d be willing to meet in the area and even let you sit in my regular size XC. I can almost guarantee that the xl is the problem. I had 1 saddle that was a size larger than it should have been and it was terribly uncomfortable.

I live in Edison and work in Branchburg.

Just a question, what's a regular size XC vs an XL? To my knowledge, their sizes are: size 1, 2, and 3.

I live just out of NJ in Dingmans Ferry, PA... I have both a size 1 and a size 2, and I've never had any comfort issues between the two (I'm a 30-32" waist). PM if you need to go deeper or see stuff lol. Maybe it just doesn't work for you, saddle fit being subjective...

I assume he meant size 1.

What is your bridge length? I am the same waist size as you and prefer the Size 2 but, saddle fit is personal. Everyone has their preferences.

Haves someone take a pic of how you set up and post it here. Maybe we will see something in your setup that's causing the issue.

Sorry I considered my size 1 regular and size 2 xl. If you don’t find anyone closer to you send me a PM and we can try to work something out for a meet up.

What's the length of your bridge? Are your leg straps loose? Try putting your tether at forehead height and try ajusting till you hit a sweet spot. But it could be your bridge length. Also try moving your bridge on the bridge loops .

There's obviously going to be a list of suggestions that you can do to make it "more" comfortable, but... Long bridge, low/short tether, bridge-loop adjustment, low saddle, etc.!

I am using the same size saddle and have the same waist and if you’re around 180# I would say I did have some discomfort after about 3 hours too. I have tried many saddles and nothing as good a Cruzr XC for comfort. The one thing that was an absolute game changer for long sits was the G3 Bridge spreader “hip pinch eliminator” . I upgraded my bridge to a triad with oplux from Hangfree which was for personal preference only but you CAN balance the bridge loops. Hope this helps.
