Hey quick question for everyone. I don’t have a saddle yet (never sat in one either) but I plan to purchase one in the next couple of months and do all of my hunting in 2023 out of one. I’ve tried to do a fair amount of research into them and I feel like I’m between the Cruzr XC and the Latitude Method 2. I know these are very different saddles because one is a single panel and one is a two panel, but I guess my main question is which route is better for a first time saddle user? I’m not sure if I’ll be a leaner, sitter, or do some of both? I’ve seen a lot of recommendations on here for the XC as a good “do all” saddle for a beginner but I’m also very drawn to that Method 2 for some reason lol.

You are going to get mixed answers on this questions. Some love a two panel saddle some hate them. I'm personally not a fan of two panel saddles. I owned an original method a Transformer and a Recon. The Method was the least comfortable of the three. A Cruzer XC has been by far the most comfortable saddle for me.

If I were you I would hold off and try to find a get together in your area and see if you can sit on either or both saddles before you buy. Or get both and send one back after trying them in your yard.

Same experience as GC above. I love so many features of the latitude 2. The rope belt is a must have. Great linemans loops. And a slim design. But no matter the adjustments I made it was like sitting on a chair of thorns. The XC was the best I had as far as comfort. Really regret selling it

Another current XC user here….. I don’t see how it gets any more comfortable than this. I’ve not been in a Latitude, but I came from a Tetherd Phantom. It was terrible. Probably could pick one or both up from the classifieds on here or on AT, and sell the one you like the least and not lose a dime.
