I just stumbled across this YouTube video and think this is a fantastic idea. It appears to be galvanized chain link fence wire (I would have never thought of the inducing a twist to give it stability/rigidity step), but the coolest part is the end where the whole thing gets covered with the Paracord sheath.
My mind immediately went to diy bow/gun hangers but I'm guessing there's some other applications, Clips to hang your sticks off your saddle etc. Anyhow, pretty cool DIY rabbit hole I'd never seen before, hoping it helps some of you guys out.
If anyone's worried about durability I have some crab traps that I made more than 10 years ago that have had many dunkings in the bay, and then sat in a shed for 5 years. The wire isn't rusted at all, we should have no durability issues (assuming no repeated bending, just using whatever you make in a static/stationary format. I have no idea how many bending cycles/tightness of a radius would break this wire.
