DIY Kestrel Clone

Don't be ashamed to tell people you have a sewing machine and know how to use it. My grandfather did upholstery for a living and ending up managing the Dodge plant that made the interiors for the Dodge vehicles in the 60's and 70's. I know a few Amish guys that sew horse saddles and tack. Look at the names of all those fancy designers of clothes, purses, etc, a good portion are men and have made a pretty good life for themselves. Even Fred Bear got his start working at Ford sewing the spare tire covers back in the day before he got into archery. You're just following in the foot steps of old Fred, without his tinkering and making what he didn't have or couldn't buy, we would not have what we have today.

It looks really good. Way to go. What material did you use for the lineman’s belt and the larger black webbing?

Thanks! The main saddle frame is 2” seatbelt webbing. The lineman’s belt is 1” milspec webbing.
