DIY Preacher’s Seat

Really! Just hook up a saddle and sit! straddle the tree!? Which I’m guessing you already have being on this platform??

I'd come up with a way to attach it to your saddle - maybe some loops that clip to your LB? And maybe a way to adjust the standoff in and out.

I really like that, I'm probably going to make something similar. I can't get comfortable on an ROS but this would probably solve that for me.

Watch yourself, you are dangerously close to a JX3..........
I’ve tried the JX3. Twice. Just not for me. Less bulk with a traditional saddle. Sort of amazing to me that JX3 or someone else doesn’t come out with something simple like a preachers seat to just pack along with you for a sitting option.

Be careful with that bridge. You’re one nap from being upside down.

Bosuns chairs are cheap and easy to build. But they solve just a portion of the problems that the hybrid does.

By the time you do all the math, you’ve either justified the hybrid or a soft saddle.

The hybrid isn’t an accident.

But really be careful with that bridge.

You’re going to hate me for this @kyler1945, but the jx3 was just too bulky for me. Just trying to have some of the features of the jx3 that I can throw into a backpack. Certainly a no napping policy in the current version. If only the jx3 came in a slim version…..

JUST KIDDING. But seriously I would probably buy one.
