Down South Hunting podcast

Also. I need to listen to this podcast.
I’ve read John’s books and really respect his point of view.
I do try to minimize my scent ( tough to do when it’s 80 degrees til December ) and watch the wind ( also can be tough depending on location ).
Having read a bunch of Dan’s stories, I respect his opinions just as much.
If truth be told, I probably lean more towards the “watch the wind “ side , but not necessarily because I think it’s a totally better approach . More because I have a hard time finding time to get into the woods to do any prep or hunting. So the tedious scent elimination regimen would just not be appealing for me ( although I do use scent lok and ozone)

I agree with this and think it's a very common attitude among hunters.

Public land in Wisconsin cannot even begin to compare to how tough it is in Michigan on public.... And all Johns are with a bow.
I have read all Eberhart books and watched his DVDs... I also have listened to and watched Infalts... Both very successful but where I hunt in PA is similar to where John hunts. Infalt in no way shape or form is hunting pressured deer. This is statistically fact. Having said that I think both hunters have adapted to the areas they hunt. Infalt is also using a firearm for many of his kills. John is strictly bow. John has made me a much better hunter, I have spoke with him on several occasions and he truly cares about helping others.
