Emojis and other functions always grayed out

Why can’t I use any of the functions like emojis and bold etc. anymore when on the site using my phone? I can no longer access the emojis or anything. I click the three dots and the graphic shows but it’s grayed out and doesn’t do anything when I hit it. What am I doing wrong? Never had problems before.

Hit the colon button and the smiles come down.

That’s what I’m saying though. I hit that and it comes down but then when I hit the emoji icon nothing happens.

Click on the Brackets (Toggle BB Code). It turns those functions off and on. You probably clicked it by accident sometime. It happens to me frequently, that's how I know what you've done.

I've had this happen before and there was a thread telling us how to fix it.
I was hoping that another thread would start!

I don't have those Brackets that Joe pointed the red arrow to...

Yes you do try all three one will pop up with the brackets.

Thanks @boyne bowhunter , I thought the sight turned those off for everyone!
