EWO Ultimate Stick Attachment vs traditional cam buckle

It’s an Amsteel on Amsteel prussic that binds down hard and allows some sag to occur before catching. Tried it once and tossed in the pile of crap to never use again.
I'll agree. The prussics get too tight. Super light and quiet though. I sold mine.

I haven't been using individual sticks much at all over the last couple of years but why not just scrap the prussic and use the timber hitch with these Amsteel ropes? Check out @boyne bowhunter 's excellent youtube video on the timber hitch attachment method with a spliced eye length of amsteel. I believe you can get these from the Amsteel guy as well without the prussic.

If you’re gonna use the prusik as a modified truckers hitch, why not just stick with the daisy chain and do the same thing only instead of tying you pull it tightly to the link it falls on?
This is what I’ve done for the last two seasons! Once I found the modified truckers hitch for my daisy’s, that was the ticket. Tighter than everything but an ocb or ratchet.

To be fair, I stole this knot shamelessly from @Nutterbuster. I think he showed it as an option for attaching single steps and maybe a stick.

I've never tried attaching a stick to a tree with this method and probably wouldn't. The reason I'm comfortable with it on platforms is that the camming action keeps its tensioned and tight at all times. The method requires that tension to keep it from slipping, the more tension the better. On a stick as soon as you step off it your weight is removed and the wraps may not be tensioned enough to keep the stick on the tree.

While I fully appreciate the shout out on the method @woodsdog2, I personally wouldn't recommend it for sticks. I will stand by it for camming platforms though.
