Excuses.....

Hell yeah! My kayak is bright green, I may need to do some spray painting if we are going to look tacti-cool. I spent 6 months in fort Gordon, Where in GA are you? What kind of weapons are we using? Can I tell my wife the only way I can do this is with a new 6.5 creedmoor bolt action? We going for largemouth or are you Georgia peaches into noodlin?

Look like the dang SEALS rolling through the swamp in our yaks. Ready for the pig assault.

@BCHunter, have you noodled before? I've always wanted to try that

I was looking at the website, looks like it's $100 for an annual non resident hunt/fish license or $20 for 3 days. That will allow you small game and feral pigs. It's an extra $195 if you want the big game license for 2 bucks 10 does and turkey(if you are there during the season)

No I'm from Michigan, it's not an option here. It looks fun, but I've heard that people have been drowned by catfish after they latch on, so I'm conflicted.

My thoughts exactly. My dad is original from NM and claims to have done it in the reservoirs there as a kid. I figure if he can do it......

If I could make it happen I'd love to do a pig a palooza. @g2outdoors, anywhere to hammock camp and do this? After deer season is the best time of year for me to do things lol.

Noodling should be reserved for those born without a central nervous system. Just sayin'

Got a couple buddies that do it in the Midwest. I'm just not fond of the snapping turtles. They say "you want to feel the hole opening, if it's rough it's a turtle, smooth it's a catfish!!" No thanks I like my digits.

G2, Think we can make pigapalooza a reality? I'd be down to hammock or backpack camp, hunt, learn and discuss saddle gear for a week. I typically take a week a year, Mancation, for myself for Cobia season in Florida so this would be an easy swap.

I grew up noodlin in the Red River in northeast Texas. It was fun, but I'll leave it in my "good 'ol days"

Haha not sure the pace for your unit down there, has to be better that 10 mtn, but agree with the colder weather. April is usually is still plenty cool.

Maybe should start a different thread about a possible saddle gathering/ hunting op

No problem at all. I think it's awesome. February or March is a good time frame. Monday, February 20 is Presidents Day. That's a natural long weekend for most people. Plus it's the weekend after valentines day. So everyone could go big this year to make sure you get the kitchen pass from the wife. If you guys want to go, there's an great Campground right on fort stewart. I'll set everything up.

I have to get me one of them....never shot a pig!

Me too. And everybody I know shoots them year round. They tease me by fake offering to let me go with em. But then they come up with some reason why they can't. Hey , I get it. I ain't showing you where I hunt either. But at least bring me some pork, jeez
