Some perspective:

Transfer pack: Full Frame w/ load lift. Belt w/ pockets. 2900cuin (excluding external pockets). 89.6oz.
Fas pack bundle
: Aluminum stays + HPDE sheet. No belt. 128cuin MOLLE pouches. 1800cuin. 78oz.

Kuiu Pro 2300
: Full Frame w/ load loft. Belt w/pouches. 2500cuin. 69oz.
Nice comparison, also on Black Friday the Transfer pack was on sale for $260. We all know what the FAS pack costs. I’m not sure what the 2300 was priced at then.

Kuiu's Black Friday special was 30% off pro packs. They had even better discounts in August and October.

I was going to give my brother a Popup 28 for Christmas, but he used my Kuiu Pro 3600 and liked it so much that I'm letting him have it.

Mystery Ranch Scree 32 liter with internal frame and adjustable torso....46 ounces

I just never pack out a deer with my other gear, so I'm out of the external frame pack group. Even if it is several miles, I always go drop my stuff off and come back in.

For me, the performance of my pack on the way in is as important as the way out. I'm realizing greater comfort with the load organization I get from a frame pack. But everyone has their own approach and preference.

When it comes to what I'm hauling around, I'm not counting ounces or dollars necessarily.

First and foremost, how does it carry. Second, how efficient is it for my organization and use.

What's a Transfer pack?
My Kifaru Styker is 9 lbs om my scale.

That can't be right. What frame do you have?

I have the Duplex Lite w/ Long shoulder straps and Large belt.

With a Stryker XL, I'm at 102 ounces. 6.375 lbs.

Double checked, my bad must of had some small items in the pack. Only weighs 8 lbs 7 oz.
I have a BMG EDP pouch and a small belt pouch, non Kafari.
Frame is a Duplex lite. Straps are large.

Knew something was off.

I only run the XL Stryker pack. I pulled it off the frame and weighed it two weeks ago when a new bag arrived. 2lbs 8oz.

Your pack jumped 2+ pounds with just a couple of add ons. Happens fast.

I can see a FAS pack gaining weight quickly, depending on what folks do with all that Laser Cut MOLLE.
