First time Bowfishing for Carp

Here in Ga. we scale the carp first. Then nail it to a 2x4 and turn it slowly over an open fire for a bit. Then throw it in the trash and eat the 2x4

LOL!

Yup, bowfishing is really fun and very addictive.

I made outriggers for my canoe and kayak last year if you need any ideas. Looks like you're already on it though... Good luck and have fun!

So really though, do you guys do anything with the fish or just toss them?

Of course I never toss them back..... That would be a violation of TPWD's "waste of fish" regulations.... ;-) they keep trying to inch them closer and closer to game fish status here. Lord knows why.

A local Chinese restaurant will take all we bring them. Don't know what they do with them but I don't eat there anymore.

Ive been planting them in my garden. When that fills up ill donate them to my local wildlife for food!

My out rigger and platform works well but if im by myself it seems that i dont need them. I have a sports pal and it is very stable by itself.
