Used to hunt in a busy suburban state park. Almost 100% guaranteed to find yourself perched above some interesting animalia (both human and elsewise). you’d be surprised how easy it is to escape notice of the average dog-walker even when their canine has pegged you, or having to “pssst!” a few teenagers trynna be amateur herbalists (jah feel, mon?), then seconds after they pass have several deer trot in and browse. On a serious note, I learned a great amount about how deer can adjust to pressure by just observing these moments.
Squirrels in these kinds of woods are way more gangsta than them “natural” squirrels lol. They will climb right up your tree with you or bark at other critters from nearby trees, they fight over litter, and they’d tell Jesus where to park his pickup if he was the hunter.
