I only bought some carbon arrows off camofire, they were junk. I think they get lots of stuff that wont sell or isnt up to snuff and buy it cheap and try to turn a buck. I could be wrong, but that was my one experience with them. What are you looking to put the scope on? You can get a nice Nikon for that much or a few dollars more.

Are you giving up any warranty by buying through camofire?

Can't help with Minox. But if I was going to try a sub $200 scope it would be a Burris.
You can get a used Leupold for around that price. Sightrons may be found around that price too.

I've blown up too many cheap scopes to take a chance. I think these are made in Germany but I wouldn't let that excite you too much. There are nice mink coats made in China and there are junk cars made in the USA. So unless they are making them in Zeiss factory in Jena, then German made doesn't mean it will be top quality.

Hopefully someone will chime in that they have shot a Minox on their .300 mag for years. But if someone said it was a great scope on their .22 I would be skeptical that it could handle a deer rifle.

A lot of crap on camofure but also the occasional gems. Bought several CRKT knives, a few dozen victory arrows, several odds and ends camo clothing/gear, and a pack.

I always check prices against Amazon and other websites to make sure it's actually a deal. Often the price may only be better by a few bucks, but occasionally you can find stuff steeply discounted.

Like most deal of the day sites the inventory is often overstock, discontinued, and occasionally defective or factory second items from previous years.

I don't see how you would void warranty by buying through them. After all they are just another retailer. No different than buying on Amazon or cabelas. It's generally not the retailer who honors a manufacturer warranty anyway.

I wouldn't shy away from buying things on there - especially if the price is right.

I was going to say look into Redfield and Vortex. I am ultra impressed with my vortex binos the more I use them, and have already convinced myself my next scope will be vortex. They make rifle scopes starting around $175 I believe. I have a redfield 2-7x mounted on my slug shotgun. It's a great scope and works very, very well in low light. I bought it before they skyrocketed in price. Opticsplanet.com had them for about $150, and then I got a $50 mail-in-rebate.

I find the best deals on campfire to be related to footwear and clothing (typically overstock). I haven't pulled the trigger on anything more expensive yet.

That makes sense. 1 - they are highly seasonal. So as stores need to make room for the summer shoes they sell off the boots, ect. 2 - The mark up on apparel is way higher than the mark up on scopes, guns, ammo, etc.

I think it's the best price you'll find on Sitka clothing (33% off) but I've seen them run 3-4 days over the year I've been on the site
