Whats going on saddle hunters! I caught wind of saddle hunting recently through a few youtube channels and thought that it would be a nice minimalist way of setting up in the woods. I've used climbers before and never really felt comfortable in them(move too much, limited shooting lanes and heavy!). I found some footage from NY Saddle Hunters and have decided I'm going to give the DRT (double rope technique)a try. I purchased a Mammut Ophir 3 Slide RCH with some rope / gear and gave her the ole test run today. I can't wait to share my experiences with you all and more importantly learn from you as well!

Welcome aboard and glad to have you. In my opinion this page is filled with the best group of hunters bar non. Tons of information, friendly advice, people reaching out to help in all kinds of ways. You are sure to fall in love with everyone here just as I have, it is truly a big family. Good luck this season and can’t wait to see you’re harvests!
