Harness using spikes with spurs as climbing method

Im having difficulty finding a harness for my tree spikes and modified sit drag set up. I want a harness that has proper load bearing lineman loops. I am also wanting my harness to offer fall protection. Im not sure if a saddle harness or rock climbing harness offers fall protection? I do not want to spend a whole bunch of money, also do not want to sacrifice safety.
I cant seem to find enough information about harnesses in general..

I would just get a rock climbing harness. The only other option that is pre-made with the lineman loops would be an arborist saddle or the Kestrel or Mantis. The cheapest option is DIY, @bowhunter15 at the beginning of this video he takes climbing webbing and makes lineman belt loops. That's what I did and it works great. My harness didn't have a weight-bearing loop in the back, so I made one with more climbing webbing.

I just used my bridge loops on my sitdrag. I also sewed a load bearing buck on my sit drag. The linemen’s belt itself doesn’t offer “ fall protection” anyway it’s more designed for work positioning. That being said I have yet to fall out of my saddle using this method after intentionally trying too.

Are you referring to your sit drag as your saddle? I am curious bc of all the warnings sit drag puts out there. I wonder what the differences are in how the materials are put together.

Yes I use the sitdrag as my saddle. They put out warnings that’s it’s not to be used from an elevated position because it doesn’t have the safety features built in like the mantis or kestrel. But backed up with a rock climbing harness it’s just as safe.
