Has anyone added leg loops and back strap to sitdrag?

Nobody can fall asleep in a sit-drag, it's not a Cadillac like the fancy harnesses. :D

Ken, I fell asleep in that Molle saddle clone I copied from you. I wouldn't put a nap in the sitdrag past my lack of sleep lifestyle.

Haha I've had some pretty good naps in mine. A strap supporting my back is key to that. Slide it up under my arm pits and I can lean back fully supported.

Flingin your a machine, your experience is unique. The sit-drag is not comfortable for mere mortals, hence no sleeping in it. :D

I honestly love my SD and pulled lots of all day hunts with it this year. A lock on stand to me would be torture. Absolutely kills my back so I find the SD pretty dang comfy!

Me too. It does take some getting used to, but after you're accustomed to it, you can sit for long periods of time with little discomfort.

Interesting, this guy said same thing as you guys.

you haven't hunted with me yet @kenn1320 ....lol....I can fall asleep anywhere. I was once, in a past life, a steelworker, at the same time that I was an active punk rock musician....lots of late nights on stage & club, and getting up early to climb the steel...I would literally just lay back on a beam (6-12" wide) and sleep for a few.

Don't listen to these guys, they're crazy for not using a harness with leg straps! 30 ft up is no place to assume risks. Just put a rock climbing harness on. If you can't convince your wife or most of the people on this forum that you're safe with what you have, you probably shouldn't use it :)

Done preaching, have fun!

Totally agree with you on this one... I have been on purpose testing being upside down and sliding to one side. The sit drag is great with a good rock harness attached to it with weight bearing oval carabiners , I could not fall out of it. I have a new tribe tengu saddle that I took just the top portion and tried what dave t. was doing on you tube and you definitely could fall out of it upside down like a wet noodle. I could not fall out of my new tribe aero hunter upside down and I was trying like crazy upside down and just could not. Also a simple over hand knot to form a loop on your bridge stops you from sliding side to side in case of a straight down shot. I hope this helps someone stay safe.

I got to try the @ImThere sitdrag back rest mod at Pigmageddon. Let me tell you... It makes a big difference. I'll definitely be adding one for next season. I won't use it on shorter sits, but during the rut, it would be really nice to have.

Thanks for the great ideas to lighten it up and give me more "swivel" room
