How tight to torque the Predator XL 'bat wing' bolt?

I just bought the XL platform and the skeletor sticks. I worked on the sticks first and they came with instructions saying to torque the bolts to 10ft lbs. Got them all assembled and moved on to the platform. It did not come with any assembly instructions....granted, there's one bolt but it seems at least as important to have tightened to spec like the sticks.

I called customer service and was told to tighten it tight but not so tight I crush the cast aluminum. Ummm.....

He said he did not have any data relating to how tight to torque that bolt but he took my number and said he'd call back.

Does anyone know how tight to torque it? 10ft lbs like the sticks? More...less?

Are you referring to the bolt that attaches platform to the post or the “batwing” bracket to the post?

For the platform, I would tighten just tight enough so it will not open on its own, and the batwing just tight enough so you can barley twist it clockwise or counterclockwise.

I'm referring to the batwing on the post, yes. Why does the bat wing need to be so "loose"? Just seems odd.

You don’t want it loose, but it need to move some for setting on a tree because of imperfections such as crooked tree or knot on the tree it just helps keep the platform level left to right .

Gotcha....I put 'loose' in quotes because to me, if it's not rigid, it's loose. That makes sense though. Thanks for the explanation!
