How to hang gun?

My muzzle loader has a sling. I put a bow or accessory hanger on the tree and then hang the gun by the sling on the bow hanger with the barrel pointing straight up the tree. I place the bow hanger above my head so that the end of the barrel is a few feet above my head, for safety purposes.
