How to invent stuff if you're not a maker-person

I gotta chime in and kinda stand up for maker's or trades people. Not everyone is trying to steal ideas or get in on them or whatever. Some people get into making stuff because they like it, but then it's a darn job. A project like this might be refreshing for that sort of person. It's definitely true there are a lot of shady people out there. The world isn't all bad though y'all.

Its not that all people are bad but a patten only last 5 years and you have to manopolize it befor a company with a little clout or monitary strengh gets ahold of it.plus an existing company can just make the same thing and just prove that its a little different in 5 ways to get around a patten.you would have to patten it and and 10 closest possible desighns to protect your self.not trying to bump the breaks on homies ideas just giving my dude a heads up. I agrea with horn... buy i love to give people a trusting chance without careing if i get jacked its just my nature..so im praying right now that homie makes it work.

Sure have! Just changed that yesterday. Kind of a personal joke, probably won't stay that way long but then again I might forget.

The world isn't all bad either way!

@elk yinzer What exactly do you hope to do with this concept of yours? Are you hoping to create and sell a product? Develop a product and sell the patent to company that will produce it? Something else?

If there’s no patent or contract there’s nothing from keeping someone from stealing your idea. The couple people I know of personally that hold patents are the doer types, pretty much if you have an idea and don’t want it stolen, it behoove you to do it yourself.

You might check with a local small business association. They would probably be able to give you some really good advice and information resources on how to approach this situation.
