I know it’s super easy for some of us to get caught up in the newest, latest, greatest, lighter, better and spend (don’t worry classifieds or support thread, I’m still buying) but I don’t think we’ve done a thread lately about less expensive things that helped you. For instance I grabbed some night eyez for $20 or so and have a way easier and quieter accent. Ropeman was probably on the edge of what I consider inexpensive but I got mine off the classifieds here and still feel it was a game changer for me.
The forum keeps growing, maybe the vets can help some newbies out with an item that will make this passion easier without breaking the bank.
I’d ask that we tread with caution on the DIY stuff. We all don’t possess the same skill level so a paint job is a no risk endeavor but a make your own X may be, please keep that in mind.

Everything I bought from genesis 3d. Some people say the 3d printed stuff is junk and I couldn't disagree more. The strap stager, molle stick holder, and versa hangers have been massively quality of hunting life improving.
The 3d printed BH sharpeners from stay sharp were junk tho

I second Genesis 3D products. I didn’t give them a fair shake in the beginning. Their cam buckle strap holder for attaching a tree stand to a tree is probably the single thing that is keeping me in a hang on stand.

Outside of this I would say nitize gear ties.

X3 for genesis 3D. I’ve found a million and one uses for their bundeze. I also really like the CGM accessory pouch:

Accessory cords of all millimeters. Such a versatile way to do all kinds of things, including support your life, for about $.50 “on the gallon”.

I thought there was a similar thread somewhere.

My fault, bad searching on my end. Appreciate the find.

Amazon....there, I said it. :)
I know I've saved hundreds of dollars by buying 98% of my tree climbing and tree saddle accessories off of Amazon. I check them out and make sure they're climbing rated, but for a lot less money. The prices for accessories from these saddle companies are ridiculous.
Dump pouches that are camo, cordura material with side pockets and D-rings, at $23 for the pair. Carabiners, Ropeman1, Beal Jammy, double eyed tender ropes, knee pads, rappel rope and several other items that I'm sure I'm overlooking, all for a lot less money than on a tree saddle company website.
