Input wanted for the next Aero Hunter model

I would like to see someone else make something similar to the Guido's web. Butch is retiring at the end of this year so there will be no more Guido's web unless someone buys his company.

Ernie. Here is a business for you. Buy guidos web and make it better. If not Ernie then New Tribes

Ooohhh Ernie owning guidos would be sweet.

I like safety too but having two legs straps come undone is highly unlikely and even if they did I doubt it would result in a fall. Convenience in this case trumps safety.
Convenience means nothing if your paralyzed or dead.

I agree safety is critical but a aerohunter without leg straps is no different than a sit drag.

And, mind you, a sit drag was never made to be used as a DIY safety harness above ground height. It's one thing for us to mod products after they've left a manufacturers hands and entirely different for a manufacturer to knowingly produce a product that is less than 100% safe. Remember now everyone is ready to jump into a sit drag style harness. New tribe is just trying to bridge the gap - safely - for those that are interested in saddle hunting.

I guess the original point was it would be nice if we could remove the straps to change clothes without coming out of the tree. It would still be optional to undo the leg straps if they had a buckle. It is a small risk the user could assume if they so choose. I completely understand the liability issues etc involved in all this and I do want to be safe. The aerohunter is a great product and input for changes were asked for and leg straps that are easily unbuckled would be great. That was the intent of the original comments.

I have two of the aerohunters and love the product ! Im not a fan of an adjustable bridge and have since made my bridges nonadjustable and with a loop to prevent sliding to one side during a shot. The paws and new metal buckles are awesome but need to be rubber coated as they readily make contact. The real big improvement would be eliminating the leg straps that start off crotch friendly but eventually like to annoy the boys lol. The safety I find is the main buckle and strap between the paws... I have hung upside down multiple time in aerohunter and the leg straps do not catch me and I have them fairly tight. No leg straps and an option to replace the bottom half of the current model if you come up with a strapless bottom solution or an option where the straps between your legs just keep you in the saddle and your weight does not effect them to ride you. Great job ! I look forward to many seasons using the aerohunter !

You will never see an aerohunter without leg straps for safety reasons. It is the same reason the guido's web has them and the reason that TMA made trophyline put the useless leg straps on the tree saddle. Now I am pretty sure we are going to see a version with buckles that will allow easier access into the saddle and hopefully solve most peoples issues with the leg straps.

I get the safety reasons but I really liked new tribes products and purchased two aerohunters and a tengu ... all awesome products so I thought I would ad my opinions. The tengu saddle is sweet but never use the leg strap buckles and they ad weight BUT the tengu is sweet , I just wish it didnt have leg strap buckles or maybe different ones. Just my opinions .... but everyone is going to be different based on body size weight etc

That tengu looks sweet. Do you use it for hunting or other activities? I know some of the other harnesses are not designed for static comfort per-se (ie: sitting for long periods of time).

I just hunt ... I use the tengu for setting up my trees. It is made heavy duty without all the metal of an arborist saddle. If you are a sitter and not a leaner while hunting , the tengu ( for
me ) is very comfortable and you do not need a bridge. BUT if you are a leaner while hunting don't bother , your boys will suffer lol
