Is this a good deal?

Yes. Buy a new BCY-X string from Stilldub on eBay. Stick on a Hoyt rest and get a Bateman tab and you're good to go

Your first 'trad bow'? That is slightly heavy to learn on. Even if you are big and strong :)

Consider finding a set of lighter limbs 35# would be good and you'll progress a million times faster. I didn't believe it either ;)

Listen to justsomedude - everything he said is the truth.

While you wait for your new bow, look up and learn as much as you can about two things: back tension and alignment.
If you devote time to both of these you'll be amazed at how well (read as: accurately) a single string bow can be shot.

I have old recurves I grew up shooting. My 16 yr old son actually asked be about getting one awhile back and I seen this one. I guess I should look for one with lighter limbs for him for sure then.

Good deal. I agree that lighter is easier but so is everything we don't work for. I started with 60# and eight years later, I'm fine.
