Just an idea for those guys using xop seats

I like that Ernie, I use the strap and usually wrap it, cam it to tighten the wrap and re adjust and cam again.

Here’s a pic also has the ameristeps on strap.

Not sure if I missed it or what but how did you customize the strap to have both ends girth hitched onto the platform like that?

No customizing necessary, the strap is a 2 piece strap. The negative here is the you have to thread the strap when you get up to hunting height. But w the ears snapping off on some XOP when guys attach to them I would rather this. But to answer your question both ends of strap has an eye loop to girth hitch with.

Ok I gotcha. Dont know why I didnt figure that out. I might give that a try this afternoon to see if I like it better

G2 has a video showing how to use a lone wolf strap. The strap works great, but wrapping the tail end around the frame and hooking the loop always seemed cumbersome to me.

I took some amsteel and spiced two loops into it using a brummels hitch. Then attached it to thee lone wolf strap to make it easier to wrap the tail

You could probably use an endless loop and accomplish the same thing, but I thought the route might be to bulky that way.

You could also cut the strap off of the buckle and attach directly to the buckle with a girth hitch.

Either way, if this helps you guys, cool.

I added the heat shrink just to hero the trails from the brummels hitch tidy.
