Just got another property

Here is what I took a look at. I don’t see why the deer would be using that top field much but depends how tall that crp is I guess. I would look at the areas I put in the map. That ridge that leads out to the point, the funnel with the creek that appears to feed down into an agricultural field of some sorts, then the slope below the point for deer traveling from the river/ creeks to the west back across your property to the agricultural field. If u can figure out the height deer are bedding I would look along that slope at the height and hunt it with a northern wind could be tricky given route in but may we thermals will help, also could be some good trails depending on food to the east that you could set up on the down wind side of.

I stopped in yesterday at this place to talk to the owner about gun season. As I pulled in an hour before dark there were ten deer out in the field feeding. Only explanation is no pressure on his land. I'm debating if I should just leave it alone until after the first weekend of gun season in hopes other hunters stack deer up on the place. What do you guys think?

I would be sitting in a tree to learn their patterns. Even if the hunters next door push them over they could make them go nocturnal. If it’s only you hunting this place I would be in a tree waiting. Just pick your enter and exit routes wisely and hunt. IMO.
