Kestrel or kite?

looking to get started and never have been in a harness before. What do people think? I’m looking at the kestrel or kite. Thanks
 
I sold my kestrel to upgrade to kite. Not a huge difference really. I liked the buckles on the kestrel better & ended up switching the waist buckle on my kite out. But overall great quality on both. Maybe slight nod to kestrel...... I could make case for either. Check out @DaveT1963 , he has a great video comparing the 2 side by side. Given the current production limitations at new tribe w/ wildfires I might lean towards waiting to see what reviews or on Tethrd mantis vs. kite & go from there.........
 
I think a factor is if you are a weight nazi. The kite and mantis are lighter.
