This is my first post and just ordered mine yesterday 12/4. Order# 1030, Olive, Size 1. Have never used a saddle before, thought I might as well get something good right from the start. Lots to learn but looking forward to getting to practice before next season.

Great day today.... my package from Erniepower came in with another set up for a back up platform. His platform works so well I was worried I didn’t have a back up.
AND.... I received shipping confirmation that my Kestrel has been shipped. Orders September 19th, order 653. Looking forward to trying it out. That being said the temps are going to drop significantly by the time it gets here. I love the saddle but when it gets really cold I prefer a traditional climber or hang on.

Yes most definitely. Basically out of bag felt great. Will tweak bridge and tether length just to see what feels better. Awesome out of the box!!!!

My kestrel should arrive today via USPS. Order 668, ordered on September 21. Size 1 camo, molle kit, and back band. Now is my time to truly study the saddle hunting approach, not just be a reader of SH forums. Just in time for late season archery here in Indiana. Stoked is an understatement!

That's my biggest fear at the moment, mines going to my work address, and we shut down Dec 19, and won't open back up until Jan 3rd. Im starting to have nightmares!

Just got my shipping notice. I ordered mine 9/24 order 694. Full kit grey size 2. Now I just need to get my heater body suit modded up. Gun hunted this weekend, forgot how comfortable it is...... still time for my first saddle deer this season !
I ordered mine in November so i have little wait cant wait. Sticks and aiders are waiting now just got to figure out my platform set up using my strap bullman steps on one strap

This is my first post, but I would like to take a second and thank the folks at new tribe. Thank you! Debbie, I think was her name, she was very patient with me and very helpful. My Kestrel should be at my door today, and I can’t wait to use it. This is my first saddle and I am excited to learn this new hunting style. Great forum also! Get ready for the million questions guys!
Order 777 just arrived but now realize that I might have screwed up the sizing. I don't know why when I saw waist size 26" to 38" that because I wear a size 34 pant I was in solid with a size 1. Actually measured my waist at 38". Just within spec but with layers.... How do you send something back you waited so long for?

You should be fine. I am 6', 190 lbs and wear a size 34" pant but, if I measure around my 'belly' it measures about 38". The size one is fine for me, even with several layers. I do like the idea of the linesman loops being a little farther forward on the size 2 but. can't justify the switch for that reason alone.

I wish I had ordered size 2 because Red says he likes it better but size 1 works. I am 36 pant size but 38 at my waist. 200 pounds. Not far from your sizing

Thanks for the reply and talking me off the edge. I use a New Tribe harness called "Fox". May be discontinued now. It is a rec harness specifically made to be quiet and for wildlife observation. They claimed you could hang around in it for hours but it's heavy and the hip pinch can pretty substantial. When climbing and moving it's great but just hanging, not so much. So when I saw the Kestrel replaced the Aerohunter I just read the description and ordered. The quickest purchase I may have ever made. I love it so far but haven't hung from it as I didn't want to send back a used product. Hip pinch is my primary worry. So you don't get much hip pinch?

If I wear the Kestrel waist belt at normal belt level, I get some hip pinch. If I slide the waist belt on the Kestrel down several inches below my normal belt level then I can sit all day with no hip pinch. The only hunt I had any issues was when I wore a pair of fleece pants that had a cargo pocket with snaps located high enough on my leg it was under the saddle. The metal snaps created some pressure points and became painful.
Now, with that said I don't want to be the one to convince you to keep the size 1 and then you regret it. If I had to do it over I would probably order the size 2 just because from others reviews the linemans loops are farther forward and there doesn't seem to be a downside to going bigger. My guess is you will be fine in a size 1 but, whether you will be better in a size 2, I don't know.
For 350$. Im sending back and getting the right one. Thats what i would do
