Just received my Method and so far really like it. I'm a husky guy...5'10" 265lbs. It's comfortable and my first sit in it was almost 5 hours, only because I had to get home.

While setting up my saddle, I moved my dump pouches to the Method and I'm a pack rat. I use three pouches loaded with rappelling rope/descender, extra tether/ropeman, back band, DIY butt warmer, strap-on tree step, and daisy chain for my gear, plus carabiners. It's a load and I put the pouches on the molle loops on the lower panel.

That pouch weight really started sagging that lower panel walking a mile in and a mile out. So much that I busted one of the clips. So I ordered new ones but knowing the demand is probably pretty high, I made one of my own out of kydex. I've attached a few pictures of it.

Trying to beef it up a little, I made it 1/8" wider with the kydex I had. I'm also going to get some thicker kydex to beef up another set.

I thought I'd share my finished product.

I took my existing clips and "rolled" it one more time to keep it from coming off. I got method from someone on FB. That helps from loosing it. I also added a small paracord loop to the bottom panel webbing that is supposed to hook into the kydex hook. I did this as the paracord is easier to put onto the kydex especially if you are running multiple stuff sacks, getting the panel under the stuff sacks can be difficult. The paracord only drops the lower panel 2 inches and by "rolling" the clip an inch, I'm only down 1 inch from original design and easier hooking.

BriarJumper, Nice idea. Do you have a picture of the clip that you rolled? I'm moving my pouches to the top panel but figure beefing these clips up might be a good idea.

Not my idea, but it works. I used a long lighter to heat up the kydex. I used some micro cord to do the loop, otherwise,my rolled version is too high to effectively get the webbing on easily...

To do this the clip has to be on the saddle then heat it up otherwise the webbing can't make the turn when you try to get it on

I like that. I've pulled the clip off a couple times. I'm going to give it a try. I ordered thicker kydex today to try making them a little stronger.

Are those stock clips like the ones from eastern woods or are you guys making them yourselves? If you're making them, what thickness kydex?

I made my clip out of kydex. My kydex is .080 thick, which is the same as the Method's clips. I had never noticed the EWO clips before you mentioned it. I've ordered two thicker sizes of kydex to test out, .125 and .093. I'd like to make a jig for these also, so each bend isn't done one at a time. That took forever.
