Light options for Linemans and Tether

Apologies if this has been discussed at length before. I've searched the forum and didn't find anything.

I've hunting out of a saddle all year, on public and private. I'm feeling really good about it - even switched my Helium sticks to daisy chain amsteel. Solid move.

I'd like to get a lighter option for my tether and lineman's rope. I currently use Tethrd's options for both.

I'm curious what others have done to maximize efficiency in this department.
Thanks

Or Teufelberger Resc Tech....which I have and it is small bulk and light. Very similar to Oplux. Just wish I could find it with sewn loops

I also have a set of predator ropes with sewn eyes, but it’s not too much smaller than the tethrd ropes but I do like it better. And I just ordered and received a set of Teufelberger Platinum ropes with sewn eyes. Its a very nice alternative thats 10.5mm. As much as I like the small 8mm Resc Tech, I often wonder if it’s smart to support my 250lbs with such small ropes. It’s definitely capable based on specs, just makes me feel a little uneasy sometimes. Buts it’s hard to remove the Resc Tech from my saddle!

I run an oplux linesman’s and a tubular webbing bridge. You can’t save a whole lot of weight but getting rid of the bulk is nice.

Oplux or resc tech. Grivel plume 3g (or dmm phantom if you prefer screwgate) with trc or jammycord distel + tender.

Or use appropriate hardware/biners in place of the hitches if the extra weight and cost is worth it for you.

Just bought 5/16 resc tech from Dan O. w/ a prusic. Wow its small and stiff. Nice rope.

Resc tech is supple and sold as 8mm. Ultra tech is stiff and sold as 5/16.

(By reputation. I use oplux currently which is supposedly "just like resc tech" and it is not stiff)

I have a Amsteel adjustable bridge on my Cruzr XC. I really like it the few times I use it.

Is anyone using amsteel for bridge?
I do.

I think my favorite part about it is amsteel is a bit slick so it slides real nice inside my tether caribeaner when rotating to look over my shoulders.

H2 has the amsteel bridge as a factory upgrade, might be worth watching the videos they have.

I have been playing around with some PMI 8mm Cord from REI, has a rating at 14.5kn. Picked up some Blue Water Titan 5mm dyneema for a prusik. So far it seems good and is half the wieght and bulk of my Tethrd 11mm Tether and lineman belt. I have not tested it yet, but I tied a Figure 8 on a bight for the girth hitch and a stopper knot. The Titan is stiff but is seems to make the Prusik very easy to slide but with any amount of force bites really good.

Going to try and use it down low first and see. Dont see any reason why is should not work since the 5mm dyneema is rated for 14kn. If I try it at height I may run the 11mm tether as a backup just until I have Confidenxe that it is good. If anyone believes this to be unwise please let me know.

Check out @Nutterbuster videos and check his tether out probably as lite as you can get! As far as linemans go very good options mentioned above!!!
