Live from the 2017 PigMageddon

We had a great time. I think everyone did. I wasn't able to put Georgia on the board but if three guys from Michigan could make it I could of had a little more help. Enjoyed meeting everyone. Thanks g2
Haha, we made sure that pig was EXTRA dead! We weren't going to let the first pig we've ever seen in the wild get away!

So jealous! Have a great and safe time guys.

I'm glad you didn't let him get away.
Would love to have seen a video of it.
No such thing as too dead. Maybe you can convert your buddy into a gravity defying quack like the rest of us. Maybe you can hook him up with a fleece woobie saddle with matching ear warmers lol. That's actually a nice sling. I don't know another forum That you can read about hunting, shooting and sewing in the same post.

Funny how there isn't much meat left after you put 629 grains of lead into an 80lb pig. Just fried up the heart, tastes a lot like venison, even the Mrs. liked it.

We put 3 on the ground and had several more opportunities. I believe we would have done better if more land had been open. For some reason the majority of the installation was closed.

Or if I would have been willing to take a 45 yard shot with the bow. Or had the bow drawn back before the pig winded me on the first day. Plenty of missed opportunities for sure.

Looks like everybody had a great time! Was there bow hunting now in the end after all? I thought I had seen in December that that was canceled...

A lot of things changed in the last couple weeks. The reason it was decided to make it a gun hunt was because the permit wouldn't guarantee multiple time slots for archery qualification. It happened that I was able to qualify with my bow.

Bummer! With bows in the picture I might have tried harder to make it down.

But then with the new job it probably wouldn't have happened anyway.

Glad you guys had a good time! Hope I can make it next year :)

Presidents Day Weekend - February 16-19. Valentines is the Wednesday before. Since it's on a Wednesday, V-day would have to be celebrated the weekend before instead of the weekend after. This should actually work in our favor...do something super awesome the weekend before and earn those hunting brownie points.
